Default More Ankle Pain...

Over the past 2 years i have had 3 surgeries on my left foot. Started out as plantar fasciitis, the achellies tendon lengthening, then tarsal tunnel and ending with the removal of my calcanal nerve. Until this day i still have sever foot and ankle pain. Sometimes not being able to walk on it at all. The doctor that i was seeing has given up on me, no ideas so i guess that means no more problems for him. Anyway i was hoping that someone out there may have another idea, or someone that i may be able to see. I am still young, don't want to spend my life hobbled with this. Help anyone???

Default Ankle pain

It is unfortunate that you have had such a poor outcome and such severe complications following your foot and ankle surgeries. If your doctor does not have a recommendation for a referral for you, I would encourage you to go for a 2nd opinion or even 3rd opinion until you find a doctor who can help you or at least knows who to refer you to in your area. At this point, you will need to see a surgeon who specializes in complicated rearfoot and ankle problems - an orthopedist or a podiatrist - and you may need to see a pain specialist as well.
